Technology and the Public Realm

Bristol+Bath Creative R+D

Friday 13th November, 2-3pm

It’s BristolTechnology Festival this week.  From Fin Tech to Quantum - the festival has showcased the breadth of technology  developed in the local ecosystem. This year’s Festival is seeking to explore how technologies  will influence our lives during the next decade.

On Friday, Stephen Hilton, founder of City Global Futures, will be joining a panel with former Digital Placemaking Fellows,

Paul Clarke, Director, Uninvited Guests, Senior Lecturer in Performance Studies, University of Bristol and
Will Taylor, Creative Producer, Podcaster Project Co-ordinator ELEVATE Programme, Director Two Tone

Together they will be exploring how technology  is influencing the design of our towns, cities and places of the future and how we can we creatively engage communities in place-based design.

Stephen will be revisiting the Rebooting the Digital City Report, exploring how local communities can take greater agency over the Digital Infrastructure(connectivity+technology+people+platforms+content) that increasingly underpin and enable everyday life.

Join us if you can.
